Amazon vs Flipkart: Which Platform Has Better Deals in June 2026?
The Question Everyone Asks — And the Answer That Actually Helps
Every deal-hunter in India has an opinion on Amazon vs. Flipkart. Most of those opinions are based on one or two personal experiences, not data. We've been tracking prices across both platforms for three months — roughly 29,000 products across 30+ categories — and the results are more nuanced than 'Amazon is better for electronics' or 'Flipkart is better for fashion'.
The right answer is: it depends on the category, and in most categories, the difference is smaller than you think. Here's what the data actually shows.
Electronics — Amazon Wins, But Only on Premium Products
For flagship smartphones (above ₹30,000), laptops (above ₹40,000), and high-end audio, Amazon India consistently had lower prices 58% of the time in our three-month tracking period. The margins were usually small — ₹500–₹2,000 — but consistent.
For budget electronics (below ₹2,000 — earbuds, USB hubs, cables, basic speakers), the platforms were within 2% of each other on average. The Flipkart Assured filter makes it easier to find genuinely quality-reviewed budget electronics without sifting through fake-review products.
For smartphones specifically in the ₹10,000–₹20,000 range — Flipkart won 51% of tracked comparisons. This is likely because Redmi (Flipkart-aligned) and OnePlus (Amazon-exclusive) don't overlap, skewing the comparison. Strip out exclusives and the platforms are roughly equal for mid-range phones.
